It's October - Time to be PINK!!

On Saturday, October 10, I’ll be walking with an amazing team for an incredible cause.

These walks are so important for survivors (I am fortunate to know four), those currently fighting breast cancer, and the families of those who have lost loved ones to this disease. So many of us now know someone who has survived, and it can be easy to think the risks have decreased or that a diagnosis is not as frightening as it once was.

The reality is that more people are surviving in part because of events like these that help fund critical research, improve treatments, and provide support to patients and families. Yet 1 in 8 women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer during their lifetime, and the largest increase in diagnoses is occurring among women under 50.

That's right, 1 in 8 women. You know someone. I'm sure of it.

Please make a donation to the Tidelands Health Breast Care Fund. Every contribution helps provide support, resources, and hope to individuals and families in our community facing breast cancer.
