This year, In the Pink means something very different to me. 💗
On Saturday, October 10, I’ll be walking in the 21st annual Tidelands Health In the Pink breast cancer awareness walk—but this time, I won’t just be walking in support of others. I’ll be walking as a breast cancer survivor myself.
Earlier this year, breast cancer became part of my story. Since then, Tidelands Health has become so much more than a health system to me. It’s where I’ve shown up for treatment after treatment, where I’ve had some of my hardest days, where I’ve laughed and danced with my chemo pole when I could have cried, and where an incredible team of doctors, nurses and staff has helped carry me toward the other side of this fight.
I have been surrounded by more love, prayers, encouragement, meals, messages and support than I could ever put into words. Now I want to turn some of that love outward and help the next woman who hears the words “You have breast cancer.”
I’m raising money for the Tidelands Health breast care fund, which helps support breast cancer care right here in our community. Tidelands Health is a not-for-profit health system, so donations are tax deductible.
If you would like to support my walk, I would be incredibly grateful for a donation of any size. Every dollar represents hope, care and support for someone in our community facing a battle they never expected to fight.

For the survivors.
For the ones we’ve lost.
For the families who fight right alongside us.
And this year, I’ll be walking with a whole new appreciation for just how precious every step really is. 💕
