When will the In the Pink breast cancer awareness walk be held?
The 2024 In the Pink breast cancer awareness walk will be held Saturday, Oct. 19.
Where will be walk be held?
The 2024 In the Pink breast cancer awareness walk will be held at Brookgreen Gardens, located at 1931 Brookgreen Drive, Murrells Inlet.
What time does the walk begin?
Gates to Brookgreen Gardens will open at 8 a.m., and the walk will begin promptly at 9:30 a.m. IMPORTANT: We strongly recommend you arrive no later than 9 a.m. to allow time for parking, etc. If you arrive at 9:30 a.m. or later, you will be charged the regular daily admission fee to Brookgreen Gardens.
How long is the walk?
The walk route is approximately one mile.
How do I register?
To register, click one of the buttons above. NOTE: You must register online by Oct. 11. There will be no on-site registration the day of the event.
Can I register other people?
You may complete the registration form for another individual or individuals, but you must use each individual’s name. DO NOT register multiple people under one name. All attendees 12 and older must be individually registered and on the attendee list to be admitted to Brookgreen Gardens for the walk. There will be no on-site registration the day of the event.
Can I observe the walk without registering?
No. Everyone 12 and older must register to attend. If you have not registered by Oct. 11, you will not be allowed inside Brookgreen Gardens for the walk.
Do children need to register to participate?
Children 12 and older must register to participate. Registration is not required for children 11 and under. Note that children 11 and under who are not registered will not receive a t-shirt.
What do I receive with my registration?
You will receive a commemorative t-shirt, as well as complimentary admission to Brookgreen Gardens for the day.
Where do I pick up my t-shirt?
T-shirts will be distributed on site on the day of the walk ONLY. Make sure to arrive early enough to get your t-shirt before the walk begins. Gates to Brookgreen Gardens will open at 8 a.m., and the walk will begin at 9:30 a.m.
Is my t-shirt size guaranteed?
T-shirts will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. While we’ll make every effort to provide the size you need, we cannot guarantee it.
Is walk registration refundable?
No. Your registration fee is a non-refundable donation to the Tidelands Health breast care fund.
Are pets allowed?
Pets are not allowed.
What happens in inclement weather?
We will make every effort to hold In the Pink as scheduled so long as it is safe to do so. Should weather conditions prevent the walk from being held, it will not be rescheduled. Participants will receive an email with instructions on picking up t-shirts at a later date. Registration fees are a non-refundable donation to the Tidelands Health breast care fund.
