What is the “virtual” In the Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Walk?

This is your opportunity to walk on your own time, wherever you choose to walk, and with whomever you want to; all while supporting the Tidelands Health Foundation's In the Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Walk throughout the month of October. When you register, you will get the 15th Anniversary event t-shirt and goody bag to thank you for supporting the In the Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Walk, part of our Tidelands Health Cancer Care Network.

 

How will I get my t-shirt and other items?

Registered Team Captains or individual walkers are invited to stop by our drive-through t-shirt and goody bag pickup event to be held at Waccamaw Medical Park East located at 4033 Highway 17 Bypass, Murrells Inlet, S.C. 29576. Below are the dates for pickup.

 

Drive-through pickup event:

October 3, 2020 from 9:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m.


Additional pickup dates:

October 6, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

October 9, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

October 13, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

October 16, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Note: Due to visitor restrictions at Tidelands Health, individuals who drop by the Foundation office to pickup items cannot be accommodated this year.

 

Is there a guarantee I’ll get the t-shirt size I want?

Walk t-shirts are available on a first-come, first-served basis. T-shirt sizes are not guaranteed.

 

If I register and then decide I can’t do the virtual walk, could I get a refund?

Registration fees are a donation to the Tidelands Health Foundation's Breast Care Fund, so no refunds or discounts will be issued. We are grateful for your support!

 

If some of my team members register using the paper form, will they show up on my team page online?

No. Not automatically. Only those who register online will show up on your team page automatically. Please have the Team Captain contact the Foundation with the team member's information that needs to be added.

 

I have children who want to participate in the virtual event with me. Do I register them?

Please register children 13 years and older to receive a t-shirt.

 

How do I add an offline donation?

  • Log in and go to your Participant Center.
  • Scroll down. Look for the box labeled "Personal Donations."
  • Click the blue "Add" button.
  • Enter the name of the donor, how they'd like to be recognized, and the amount and type of the gift.
  • Select “Add” or “Save and Add Another.”
